POP-UP | MANGROVE REAL ESTATE
Mangrove Real Estate
Mangrove Real Estate was a popup event held at the Seongsu-dong Project Rent in July 2022.
In August, we recreated the single rooms of Mangrove Dongdaemun, set to open soon, in life-size so you could see them in person.

<Mangrove Real Estate> proudly recommends Mangrove House, which will open at the end of August this year in Dongdaemun. This area is a hub of transportation, historical and cultural landmarks, and a variety of attractions. We present Mangrove Dongdaemun! Unique agents such as Alfred, Oohlala, and Nope have eagerly introduced this third Mangrove House, following Sungin and Shinchon.

Mangrove Dongdaemun, comprising 177 rooms in a 15-story building, is a co-living house with not only diverse local infrastructure but also spaces that embrace various lifestyles. Alongside the single rooms and double bunk rooms found at our existing locations, we’re offering dormitory rooms for six people, providing a novel living experience.
This large co-living space, Mangrove Dongdaemun, can accommodate up to 302 residents and is perfect for young people seeking flexible housing, like fresh graduates and international students, or those exploring new living environments. There will also be diverse room types suitable for short-term stays ranging from a day to less than a month, specially designed for travelers.

One part of the popup recreated Mangrove Dongdaemun’s single room in life-size. You could enter this fully furnished room barefoot, experiencing it firsthand, as even the smallest details like carpets and wallpapers were authentically replicated. You could also explore and touch the smart furniture from design studio COM, which added efficiency and comfort to the small spaces.
I thought it would be cramped, but the clever space design was impressive.
The availability of various options without the burden of buying furniture for short stays seems to be a real advantage.

It was great to simulate the Mangrove life in advance.
It felt like visiting a friend's home, making me want to live there.
The single room, finished in the blue color symbolic of Mangrove, became a beloved photo spot during the popup period. Moreover, everyone could envision their Mangrove life a little more concretely in these rooms filled with a vibrant living atmosphere and various touchable objects.

Throughout the month-long popup, two artist live contents and homelive performances were held. Despite the gloomy weather, the splendid live performances by artists Moon Sujin and Rad Museum filled the rooms with energy. The homelive, introduced as 'the smallest and closest performance,' became a ground for intimate and affectionate communication between artists and the audience.

Mangrove Real Estate was bustling with over 3,000 visitors in July!
Now, you can actually visit the Mangrove Dongdaemun that you experienced at the popup.
